I took my first piano lesson at age five. But that certainly wasn’t the first time my fingers touched the keys. Music has filled my life from day one. I remember watching my older siblings take piano lessons, begging my mom for it to be my turn. Each of my seven (yes, seven!) siblings and I played the piano from a young age.
In elementary school, I was the pianist during the offertory at church. I purchased and began playing the flute at age 10. Throughout junior high and high school, I assisted the local drama teacher with sound effects: keyboard, synthesizer, etc. I also competed in local fine arts competitions, twice taking first place in music theory testing.

I had the opportunity to teach my first formal piano lesson at age 16, which further led me to study music with a focus in piano pedagogy (teaching piano) in college. I continue to build upon this foundation, strengthening my skills as well as learning new techniques for teaching children through seminars and weekly piano lessons.
After spending two years as a kindergarten teacher, I am thrilled to now combine my passion for teaching children with my love for music. I look forward to enriching your child’s life through music.
